Super GT 2012 Round 3 Malaysia Official Launch

Super GT 2012 Round 3 Malaysia Official Launch at Bangsar Village II

The Super GT 2012 Round 3 Malaysia, one of the most popular and greatest motorsport events was officially launched by JPM Motorsport at Bangsar Village II. Super GT is a world class Grand Touring Race Series where it is hugely popular and reputable in its country of origin – Japan. Super GT2012 Round 3 Malaysia is the one and only round out of the eight round of the SUPER GT in Japan which would be held on the 9th and 10th of June 2012 at Sepang Circuit!

9th  and 10th June 2012 will be the dates of the Biggest Motorsport Event in Malaysia: Super GT 2012 Round 3 Malaysia, the FASTEST Grand Touring Race in the world, and the ONLY SUPER GT race outside of Japan. To the casual fans, this event is so much more than JUST motorsport. It integrates all forms of FUN into ONE event.

Check out the mean and awesome sports car!
Aren't you excited already just looking at the cars here....

One of the most awesome car.....Chevrolet "Transformers-Bumblebee" Camaro!
Just so you know, Super GT was born in 1993 as the Japan Touring Car Championship, and shortly after was renamed the Japan GT. Upon expansion into Malaysia, the event was essentially renamed the Super GT in order to reflect its international ambitions. This race is utterly unique due to it having two racing classes: GT500 and GT300. The GT500 is raced by leading Japanese automobile manufacturers such as Honda, Nissan and Lexus, while the GT300 is raced by leading aftermarket auto-accessories makers, who use machines such as the Ferrari 458, Lamborghini LP570, Aston Martin V12 Vantage, Audi R8 GT3, Chevrolet Corvette, and even mean green machines like the Toyota Prius and Honda CRZ, making it the most diverse race!

The race originally started with 500 and 300 as the maximum brake horsepower (BHP) of the participating machines in their respective classes. Over the years, this output has increased significantly and the machines today are unrated as of yet, however the category names remain the same. The machines are masterpieces of exceptional technical engineering, and the GT500 is the fastest Grand Touring Race in the world, surpassing even the FIA GT1 and DTM races. One would be hard-pressed to find a more colourful race anywhere in the world! All the race cars from both categories are fitted with low-cutting splitters and humongous GT wings, and then given a bright coat of colours ranging from orange to crimson red to Japanese white. In true Japanese fashion, some cars are even anime-themed! All ensure that the fans are entertained with a visual feast!

Imagine all of this cars below are there on that day itself, racing one another?! Wouldn't it be crazy awesome!

This is some of the cars that you would be expecting yo!

and then the official launching!

However, it is at this juncture that we want to contribute to our society by lending a helping hand for the less fortunate.

Therefore, for every SUPER GT ticket sold at RM 100 at our roadshows, we will contribute half of it to “Kids to Kids Foundation”, a charitable organisation that focuses on the needs of children.

The charity initiative will be extended to our next road show, in KL Auto Salon, to be held in PWTC next week and also Auto City Carnival, in Juru Auto City, Penang.

If racing and a spine-tingling selection of rare cars are not enough to quench the thirst for automotive entertainment, JPM Motorsport has lined up one more star attraction for motorsport fans.

This time, with the support and help from all the car clubs, JPM Motorsport aimed to break the record created last year in the Malaysia Book of Records with the 2nd Edition of the Biggest Super and Performance Car Gathering! The objective is to gather more than 405 cars (2011 record)on the front straight of Sepang International Circuit (SIC), featuring cars from Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Aston Martin, and other road-going variants of SUPER GT racing machines such as the Lexus SC430, Honda NSX, Nissan GTR and Mazda RX7.
