It is in Brussels, Belgium
When I got to Belgium...I went to check out the maps and all sort....the moment I saw "Musical Instrument Museum", I was like...DAMM, I'll go no matter how much it cost!! lol
and eventually I went.... =D muahahaha
So I proudly present to you
MUSICAL INSTRUMENT MUSEUM
*hahaha, sorry la, but I really love the museum...I would go again if i got the time*
The first thing I see the moment I go into the museum...
oh ya....and we were given this headphone, where you just wear on it...you don't have to do anything....you just walk to somewhere where there's number on the floor...then it will start playing some music of the particular musical instrument that you're facing...
cool right?
this is the mechanism inside the piano....
ain't it so amazing? just a piece of this thing, it can make different type of tone...
What is this?
good question....it's one of the percussion instrument....it make this kinda "cleck cleck" type of sound...
The very first trumpet made with keys...
ok...I can't really remember the name of the person who created this?
but THAT person, who created this......he first started involving the trumpet that we normally see in the old movies *that they don't have any keys on it*, it's because that at that time......alot of woodwind's concerto has been making the headlines of the opera industries back then....
so as a trumpet player, he got upset.....he wanted the trumpet to has its own spotlight as well....
so he created this, so that trumpet would be like any other woodwinds instrument that play chromatically....
but it was a failure for him, cause.....brass and woodwind are entirely different...the way he created it, has make the brass instrument gone bad to worse.....
after the failure, someone else slowly go from there and manage to evolves the old trumpet that we know back then to the trumpet with 3 valves that we know today...
this is the rough history of it...
Bassoon! *the ancestor* haha
Oboe and English Horn
You can see this is the original trumpet back then...
the middle one is so cool right?
I think trumpet player will die playing it...look at the tube =S
some fancy bell type of trombone....*left*
dunno what was going through in the brain of the person who created this
LOL
and the one on the right, it's a bassoon actually...i was so amazed when i saw it.. =S
bloody skinny saxophone they have there... =S
and bloody long bassoon they have there...
thank God now the bassoon is not that long...or else imagine how am I gonna carry it for rehearsal every now and then =S
it's a cello btw
pls look up close...look at the amount of strings...crazy sial
violin's workshop
Well...alright that's all for now...
to be honest...there're at least another 300+ pictures I have from this Museum itself....
sorry, i would love to post everything here....but banyak la kawan!
Alright

I think I'm gonna nap instead
