In conjunction with the forthcoming holy month of Ramadhan, The Eastin Hotel Petaling Jaya, is organising a unique programme featuring among others, the favourite foods of Malaysia’s most loved and versatile musical legend, Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr. P. Ramlee with the assistance from National Archives of Malaysia.

Led by Executive Chef Alex Leong, the Eastin Hotel’s team of chefs will prepare these favorite dishes of Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr. P. Ramlee’s era as well as injecting other exciting traditional local, Middle Eastern, Japanese and Western dishes creating an irresistible and sumptuous buffet dinner spread for the entire holy month of Ramadhan starting from 21 July 2012 – 18 August at the Swez Brasserie, Eastin Hotel.

Speaking at the press preview, the General Manager, Eastin Hotel Petaling Jaya, Ms. Jane Suppiah, mentioned besides promoting good food, promoting our heritage is something that they are looking into. This is because whenever people look and get to know about Malaysia, it is always about the heritage, as it is part of our iconic branding.

Beside promoting Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr. P Ramlee’s favourite foods. Eastin Hotel has lined up a host of events showcasing P. Ramlee movies, songs and other activities that engage diners and guests for the entire duration of the holy month of Ramadhan. There will also be an exhibition displaying P. Ramlee movie posters, photographs and artifacts from his era by National Archives of Malaysia.
