“Ducatisti” of the World

“Ducatisti” of the World from over 10 countries have taken Malaysia by red storm as they united for the largest gathering of Ducati owners and enthusiasts in the region – Asia Ducati Week 2012!

The incredible gathering, organized by the iconic Italian motorcycle brand, Ducati, attracted “Ducatisti” from Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Thailand, United Kingdom and Vietnam and was kick-started with Welcome Party celebrations at the newly open Butter Factory Club in downtown Kuala Lumpur.

Recently the Asia Ducati Week came to a spectacular end and it was quite a celebration for everyone who loves the passion for Ducati,” said Mirko Bordiga, CEO Ducati Asia Pacific. “Asia is an increasingly important market for Ducati, and the interest in the brand is steadily growing, thanks to our Ducati dealers, who offer a high quality professional service and give their contribution to make the Ducati family bigger,” he furthered.

Two legendary Ducati MotoGP riders; the Australian Troy Bayliss and Italian Loris Capirossi, as well as the President of Naples Ducati Dreams Club, Paolo Pirozzi, were here in Malaysia in support of this momentous global event.  Paolo is a ‘motorcyclist’ by profession; his work and personal life revolving around motorcycles and his passion for Ducati. He has clocked over 450,000km aboard his many Ducati bikes and travelled the globe visiting Ducati Owners Clubs in five continents with his tenacious Multistrada 1200 in an adventure referred to as ‘Around the World in 80 Clubs’.

Leading Ducati Malaysia and as the main driving force behind the Asia Ducati Week, Datuk Wira SM Faisal Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin, a self professed techno-preneur and also the Joint Group Executive Chairman of NAZA Group of Companies said, “Naza is proud that our efforts have received the attention of the world’s biking community, through our continuous and successful promotion of Malaysia as a top-of-the-mind two-wheel tourism destination. With the use of social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter, we have branded the Asia Ducati Week and highlighted it on a global scale; enabling Ducati owners from all around the world to feel the spirit and adrenaline of this exclusive and exciting event,” said Datuk Wira SM Faisal.
